I
A short course of my existence
I entered the world on Christmas Eve 1964 in Emmerich am Rhein
Had a great free wild childhood. The first building blocks of my creative life were laid here. In between I went through kindergarten, elementary school, secondary school, technical high school, times.
My PUNK time was formative. They formed additional building blocks. The change from Emmerich to Bielefeld (1984). This time should also be very formative.
I did an apprenticeship as a display designer (1985) and already got a basic insight and acquisition of many techniques. So a solid craft is conveyed. No longer common today
It was there that I started to creatively shape my ideas. Am a collector of everything that is somehow stimulating, special, arousing. I traveled a lot, which in turn was a building block and still benefit from it today.
Later I did an apprenticeship as an occupational therapist (1996) with a focus on psychiatry, and later further training as an expression therapist plus psychological - technical assistants. In my life I produced a lot of pictures and objects.
Unfortunately, many of my works fell victim to iconoclasm (relationship towers).
Then came the moment when I had to make a decision in my life. Twenty years of work in psychiatry. I couldn't and didn't want it anymore. Today I devote myself entirely to art, the creative, the crazy and that full time.
I sort my life, look for key issues that I can, want, want and need to implement. To look behind the scenes, to provoke, to experience opposites. Combine knowledge with philosophy.
I took part in the "Hundred Days Project" (100days-project.nz) in 2016/17. Here I was able to show in a variety of ways how I can deal with material / ideas / innovation. In the same year I also took part in the exhibition "INNENWELTEN". I even became a small business owner "GORGOL-ART.COMPANY". Attended the art college in Bielefeld to refine my techniques and to get input. Now have an official status as an artist. Admission to the artist social fund.
In Bielefeld and have been studying social affairs / design at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences since 2017. This is another building block. Due to a spontaneous application to Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, I was shortlisted. But should only go to the Düsseldorf academy on their advice. I stayed in Bielefeld.
I am concerned with having space (in a double sense). Try to form a community to make art affordable. It takes a lot of time just to live or to survive. Unfortunately, it is a luxury if there is no funding in sight to be creative. I am not alone, so a community has to be created to make it portable. The name for this community is "CIRCLE Together for the community". In 2019 "ZIRKEL" became ZIRKEL eV. The move to Emmerich followed. In the same year she joined the "Kulturraum Niederrhein eV"
But what I do know with certainty is that I will and want to work with many different materials (wood, metal, glass, stone, etc.) and objects (everyday, usage, special, current, find).
I have five mottoes;
"May it be wonderful or let it be hideous as long as it is extraordinary."
"Let me make gold out of shit"
"Everything in my life is art or man is artificial"
"Don't waste anything because you know nothing tomorrow could be there"
"Do something that has a statement"
"Swim against the current so you can see that you can swim"
